Examples of what not to do

Following are examples of inappropriate usage of identity elements. When there is a question, please contact university relations at (479) 575-5555 or urelinfo@uark.edu.

The minimum recommended size for the standard logo is 1" in height. The minimum recommended size for the horizontal logo treatment is 1/2" in height.

Bad Example

Do not reverse the logo out of a dark background in this manner. This looks like a photographic negative of the logo.

Good example

This is the correct way to reverse the logo out of a dark background.
The tower should appear darker than the shield.

wrongcolors

Never use unofficial colors.

squeeze

Do not "squeeze" or "stretch" the logo.

overprint

Never overprint the logo, and do not use the logo as a background pattern.

wrongtype

Never alter the wordmark or any visual elements, and do not change the font of the wordmark or accompanying names of colleges or divisions.

angled

Never place the logo or wordmark at an angle.

substitute

Do not duplicate an approved treatment by substituting a departmental, office or center name.
